This my friends, is a HUGE disappointment! Over the last week or two, Artists who took the time to pour their soul into the create mode in LittleBigPlanet, are being bent over and repeatedly raped by the fine folks at Media Molecule and Sony.

Let me explain. We were shown a game that looks like everything Nintendo SHOULD be doing, we were told that when we purchase this game, we will be able to take all the tools included and create a masterpiece only limited by our imagination. A few short weeks later, user created levels started disappearing with no warning. Turns out some levels had IPs that I suppose were placed without consent. This was wrong? Some dude actually won a contest based on a “Shadow of the Colossus” themed level, talk about sending the wrong message! It’s not like these companies didn’t know it was going to happen, in the beta there were a large amount of Space Invaders, Super Mario Bros. , and many MANY other classics reborn into the world of LBP.

Don’t get me wrong, if I created something, and someone created something similar and sold it for profit, well, I’d be pissed. But that’s not what we’re talking about here, nobody is going to buy this game based on Johnny Fuckbubble making a cool Super Mario Bros. level 1-1, it’s an added bonus, not a system selling attribute. It doesn’t end there. The rules have been tweaked a little bit, we are no longer able to create levels that are violent, difficult, or have any advertisements in them. This is where I really get angry! I’ve created a level that has a small portion in it that looks like the first level in Donkey Kong, a character that references the game Castlevania and Metal Gear Solid, the Gamesovergirls.com logo, and a character telling the player to listen to our podcast. I’m terrified to upload my level to the server, I fear it will be deleted and I’ll be flagged for when I publish future levels.

This is complete bullshit! Nothing I mentioned above should even be considered for moderation, unless I use images or actual code from other video games. I’m using the tools that were given to me, and that is all. We make no money with this site, probably never will, it is a labor of love for video games, and a hatred for the greedy, money grubbing scum-bags that crank out FPS after FPS after FPS.

As far as the content people upload goes, I think it’s up to the creator to use his/her best judgement. If you want to put up a level with 75 cocks firing themselves into a big black vagina, you should be able to… But, there should be a tag that says “This level is dirty and has many cocks in it”. If you fail to label your level “NAUGHTY” or whatever, you will be given 3 strikes, 3rd strike you are banned from uploading anything until you sign a document saying that if it happens again, you are banned for good. Simple, right? On violence, I guess a bunch of little shits play this game, well guess what? You can’t protect them forever from LIFE. LIFE has kids shooting other kids over their sneakers, LIFE has drugs and alcohol, LIFE also has a sweet cinnamon taste that both kids and adults love… oops… cereal, mmm. I watched “A Nightmare On Elm Street” when I was like 8 years old, the shit in my panties still lingers, but it also made me a little less of a pussy. On difficulty, this is retarded, I was looking forward to playing levels that were going to take me more than one shot to get through, guess that’s not going to happen now. What’s the point in taking the time to create something spectacular when there are so many restrictions fighting against you?

Don’t take this lying down folks! Write angry letters, YouTube yourself crying about it, shit, let’s get a class-action lawsuit going. We were all deceived, this wasn’t why we spent 60 bucks. What was easily the best reason to buy a PS3, is now one of the top 10 biggest fuck-ups in the history of video games… wait, 11… I forgot about the Wii.
