I’m going to give it a shot, let’s hope it doesn’t get ripped down.

Go onto the LBP moon for user created levels, type in GAMESOVERGIRLS all in caps, give it a try. This is my first try, the level would have been MUCH bigger, but I didn’t really understand the limitations of how much content you could or couldn’t squeeze into a level. The next one will be better, and I won’t be using one of the included backdrops, but play it and come back here and comment. Did it suck? Was it good? Hard? Easy? Come on people, I NEED YOUR APPROVAL NOOOOOOW!!!

This my friends, is a HUGE disappointment! Over the last week or two, Artists who took the time to pour their soul into the create mode in LittleBigPlanet, are being bent over and repeatedly raped by the fine folks at Media Molecule and Sony.

Let me explain. We were shown a game that looks like everything Nintendo SHOULD be doing, we were told that when we purchase this game, we will be able to take all the tools included and create a masterpiece only limited by our imagination. A few short weeks later, user created levels started disappearing with no warning. Turns out some levels had IPs that I suppose were placed without consent. This was wrong? Some dude actually won a contest based on a “Shadow of the Colossus” themed level, talk about sending the wrong message! It’s not like these companies didn’t know it was going to happen, in the beta there were a large amount of Space Invaders, Super Mario Bros. , and many MANY other classics reborn into the world of LBP.

Don’t get me wrong, if I created something, and someone created something similar and sold it for profit, well, I’d be pissed. But that’s not what we’re talking about here, nobody is going to buy this game based on Johnny Fuckbubble making a cool Super Mario Bros. level 1-1, it’s an added bonus, not a system selling attribute. It doesn’t end there. The rules have been tweaked a little bit, we are no longer able to create levels that are violent, difficult, or have any advertisements in them. This is where I really get angry! I’ve created a level that has a small portion in it that looks like the first level in Donkey Kong, a character that references the game Castlevania and Metal Gear Solid, the Gamesovergirls.com logo, and a character telling the player to listen to our podcast. I’m terrified to upload my level to the server, I fear it will be deleted and I’ll be flagged for when I publish future levels.

This is complete bullshit! Nothing I mentioned above should even be considered for moderation, unless I use images or actual code from other video games. I’m using the tools that were given to me, and that is all. We make no money with this site, probably never will, it is a labor of love for video games, and a hatred for the greedy, money grubbing scum-bags that crank out FPS after FPS after FPS.

As far as the content people upload goes, I think it’s up to the creator to use his/her best judgement. If you want to put up a level with 75 cocks firing themselves into a big black vagina, you should be able to… But, there should be a tag that says “This level is dirty and has many cocks in it”. If you fail to label your level “NAUGHTY” or whatever, you will be given 3 strikes, 3rd strike you are banned from uploading anything until you sign a document saying that if it happens again, you are banned for good. Simple, right? On violence, I guess a bunch of little shits play this game, well guess what? You can’t protect them forever from LIFE. LIFE has kids shooting other kids over their sneakers, LIFE has drugs and alcohol, LIFE also has a sweet cinnamon taste that both kids and adults love… oops… cereal, mmm. I watched “A Nightmare On Elm Street” when I was like 8 years old, the shit in my panties still lingers, but it also made me a little less of a pussy. On difficulty, this is retarded, I was looking forward to playing levels that were going to take me more than one shot to get through, guess that’s not going to happen now. What’s the point in taking the time to create something spectacular when there are so many restrictions fighting against you?

Don’t take this lying down folks! Write angry letters, YouTube yourself crying about it, shit, let’s get a class-action lawsuit going. We were all deceived, this wasn’t why we spent 60 bucks. What was easily the best reason to buy a PS3, is now one of the top 10 biggest fuck-ups in the history of video games… wait, 11… I forgot about the Wii.

Here it is, the last of our 3 part series on the 16 bit generation. It’s sad to see it’s gone, but you can bet that this won’t be the last time we’ll be discussing the games of…. uh…. yore? Will Earl tell another story about how his crazy father finger-banged his buttocks? Will Chris Kish bring up some crappy game on his list that even Dave Halverson wouldn’t like? Will Chris D. fall asleep at the mic, and not even make a list? Will Jack’s list be so perfect, that even God looks back at creating the universe, and feels like a total SHIT?!?! Real Quick, I want to warn you all, the Rock Band 2 drum set is TERRIBLE! Well, that is of course if you don’t like mushy, quiet, 90% accuracy. I missed quite a few notes while trying to play through such songs as “Say It Ain’t So” and “Eye Of The Tiger” which are pretty easy songs, even when played on expert setting. Maybe I’m crazy, but I think it’s actually better to get feedback from what you’re playing so you can hear if you’re keeping up with the song.

The pads are way too “spongy”, it feels like hitting a pillow. When you get to a drum fill part of the song (the long rainbow of bars), even if you hit the pads hard, it registers as if you lightly brushed a feather over them - it’s ridiculous. The foot pedal is WAAAAAAAAY better! It feels sturdy, and with the piece of metal on the top, I have no fear of breaking it this time. The sticks are not laminated this time?! Why the fuck not? Would it really have cost them that much money to do? They’re wireless now which is completely unnecessary, you don’t move around, money would’ve been better spent somewhere else.

Now I haven’t played the other instruments, but the guitar is prettier, and the strum bar feels nicer but still doesn’t click. The game itself is pretty much the same so far with some added modes which I haven’t gotten into. Rock Band 1 was a huge deal, this is Rock Band 1 again with new songs. I’m all for getting a shit load of new songs for 60 bucks, but $190+tax for a shittier drum set and a bunch of new songs was a huge waste, I’d go as far as to say go buy Rock Band 1 and go buy the disc for Rock Band 2, transfer RB1 songs to hard drive and sell RB1 on ebay. Plugging in the old drum set with the new foot pedal is the way to go.

Look, it’s a great game, but it wasn’t really needed. Oh yeah, good songs.

LittleBigPlanet will not be coming out on it’s original release date. Because of some stupid song that apparently has a lyric or two referring to a stupid religious book, the game will be pushed back a week or so. The big deal is not that we have to wait a little longer to play this (probably) amazing piece of software, it’s that Sony doesn’t have the BALLS to stand up for something that would possibly sell them more units because of the controversy.

Political Correctness will be the death of Art, be it Movies, Music, or Video Games - look at all the shit Tropic Thunder took for using the word “retarded”, and that was one of the funniest movies to come out in years. I’m not sure where I heard it, but this is known as the pussification of America. People need to stop being so FUCKING UPTIGHT! It’s simple, if something offends you… TURN IT OFF, TURN YOUR HEAD, or LEAVE THE AREA. Don’t ruin the experience for people who don’t have large objects up their asses.

Again, this has nothing to do with not being able to play the game on it’s original release date (I have Mother 3 to play, I could care less about any other game right now).

People really are assholes. Although it’s nice to see some people give this game a fair score, it’s not quite getting the praise it deserves. While not without it’s problems, Too Human is easily in the top 5 best games on the Xbox 360. It amazes me that people gripe about such stupid little things like a 15 second death scene that you can’t skip, Really? Even though your experience, money, level progress, and all the other loot you pick up is unaffected you’re going to bitch about that? Then you sir/madam are an ejaculation-face!

GRAPHICS: The graphics are very good, and the frame rate smooth. Don’t judge this game on it’s cut-scenes, for some reason they’re not quite as polished as the actual game, seems strange that the frame rate would drop with 4 characters talking, but not when you’re fighting 20-30 enemies in the game - but it’s not game-breaking so forget it. Characters are uninspired, and you can only play as one, Baldur. Luckily you can cover that fugly mug with tons of armor and weapons. Now let’s talk about how the game plays.

GAMEPLAY: This is where Too Human really shines. “Action packed Pee-Wee” The gameplay is extremely deep with swordplay, gun and special attacks. Don’t forget the RPG elements - Leveling up, skill trees, rune system (think materia from Final Fantasy 7), and loot…. LOTS and LOTS of LOOOOOT. I didn’t even know I was a loot whore! Swords, staffs, hammers, pistols, lasers, shotguns, and I’m not even going into the armor selections - there’s quite a bit.

SOUND: The music is very “Lord of the Ringsy” and the voice acting is great… except the scene where Thor gets crushed by a pillar, I won’t tell you what happens, but when you see it you’ll know - it’s quite laughable. Another thing that bothered me was when you’re in the city, people will talk to you as you’re walking by, and their voice will jump all over the place if you have surround sound.

REPLAYABILITY: It seems infinite, At the moment of writing this I’m up to my fourth play through and am still getting new weapons and armor, but I have to put it down for at least a little while. There’s a lot of games to be played, and if I spend all my time on Too Human I’ll be missing out on many new exciting experiences… But I will be back for more!

If you’re reading this, hopefully I’ve convinced you to go out and buy it, but if not, than please go rent it and give it about 2 hours of serious play time. Maybe it’s not for you, but make up your own mind. Don’t let the negativity make an impact before it’s been experienced first hand, you may be letting a real gem slip through your fingers.
